BOW Street Football Club’s annual two day junior festival played host to more than 1,700 players from across Wales earlier this month.

Sponsors Brian Jones and Castell Howell Foods backed the 2019 event which attracted sides from as afield as s Pontyclun, Cardiff, Pwllheli and Caernarfon.

Jones said: “We are delighted to support such a superbly organised event, and I was amazed at the standard. The best thing was seeing all who were present thoroughly enjoying themselves.”

Club chairman Wyn Lewis added: “We are very proud to be the hosts of such a phenomenal event and thanks to all who contributed to its success.

Organiser Amlyn Evans added: “The greatest pleasure is seeing the enjoyment on the faces of all the competitors and spectators.

“The effort put in by club officials to ensure the smooth running of the whole event is phenomenal.”

There were teams participating from as far afield a and for the sixth consecutive year, an all-girls competition took place on the Sunday

Boys winners: Under 6 - Penrhyncoch; U8 - Bro Hedd Wyn; U10 - Bow Street; U11 - Builth Wells; U12 - Llanilar; U14 - Padarn United; U16s - Bow Street.

Girls winners: Under 12 - Penrhyncoch.
