ALBERBURY’S poor form with the bat continued with an eight wicket defeat at Bridgnorth IIs in Henshalls Shropshire League One.
Alberbury were skittled for 103 with only tail ender James Harrap (35) offering resistance with Sahim Zaza (11) also chipping in to frustrate a Bridgnorth attack led by Ross Hurdley (3-28), Charlie Walker (2-34), Matthew Bowler-Jones (2-14) and Cameron Wallis (2-8).
Wallis (37no) carried his bat in reply and despite the best efforts of James Bird (2-33) was joined by Ben Barclay (40no) in an unbroken third wicket stand to steer Bridgnorth to 105-2 in the 22nd over.
