COBRA Rugby Club in Meifod hosted a regional girls rugby seven’s festival last week.
More than 90 players took part with the Meifod based Rebels Girls Rugby Hub hosting emerging stars for under 13 and 15 age grade competitions.
Teams included Ceirw Nant, Mon Stars, Valkyries, Meirionnydd and Rebels with Ceirw Nant completing a double.
Rebels hub lead coach Fiona Davies said: “I am so proud of our players, they have done the Rebels proud and what a great experience this has been for the ones that are new to the game”.
Another girls festival will be held at Cae COBRA on July, 28 for all groups aged six to 17.
Rebels training sessions for all age groups are held on Thursday from 6pm-7pm at COBRA Rugby Club in Meifod while Welshpool Rugby Club hosts under 13s training from 6-7pm every Thursday.
