FORDEN hosted the annual Andrew Lloyd Football Festival on Saturday.
Dixie’s Army VI overcame Scoffs Sambas in the final to lift the silverware following a fun filled day in the sun.
More than 30 teams entered the 2019 event, played annually in memory of the late Andrew Lloyd who tragically died following a road traffic accident near Newtown in 2013.
Since the popular Forden United player’s name and legacy has lived on through the annual five a side football tournament and funday which has become a major part of the sporting and community calendar in the village.
