WELSHPOOL continue to prop up the Henshalls Shropshire League Two table following a 54 run defeat at home to Forton.
A superb bowling display from the hosts restricted Forton to just 118 to defend with Matt McWhinnie (3-18) and Joe Cadwallader (3-25) dominant in the Pool attack.
Rob Anderson (1-7) removed Mark Gleeson (15) before Cadwallader opened his account with fellow opener Harry Kenyon bowled for 15.
Chris Proctor (1-22) celebrated the key wicket of Antony Barrett who was trapped LBW for a top scoring 28 before Cadwallader continued his form with the wicket of Matthew Sayers (20) to spark a Forton collapse for 118.
Pool struggled in reply with Harry Kenyon (2-10) bowling opener Paul Chapman (9) while fellow opener Patrick Davies (10) became the first victim of Chris Sayers (5-10) who proceeded to destroy the home order.
Dan Chodecki offered resistance before departing to Matthew Sayers (3-15) for a top scoring 22 with Welshpool’s collapse for a meagre 64 completed in the 29th over.
