CAERSWS Football Club hosted a successful end of season football tournament earlier in the month.
More than 600 children from across the area descended on the Recreation Ground for two days of football.
The tournament produced a high standard of football and goals galore while also providing players with an end of season showcase for their talents.
The event was also well supported by the region’s girls clubs with under 12 and under 14 cups taking place and underlined the growth of the game in Mid Wales.
Caersws Football Club has now set itself the target of establishing its own women’s side by 2020 with under 13s, 15s and 17s sides established next season.
Organiser Carl Lewis said: “It was a great event and really helped put Caersws on the map.
“Thanks to all volunteers who helped on the day and the support of coaches, players and parents.”
“Any players or coaches wanting to start there playing or coaching pathway for any club are invited to contact me at Caersws22@aol.com.”
