CWMYTHIG Hill near Rhayader welcomed the return of the Bodenham Enterprise Park/PAR Homes Ltd Wednesday Evening Motocross last week.

Stars of British motocross descended on Mid Wales, including Shaun Simpson, Taylor Hammal and former winner Ray Rowson with local riders Henry Williams and Alex Walton flying the Powys flag.

Dundee based Simpson won all three races in the pro class with Newtown’s Kieron Cooke winning the opening experts category before Reagan Skinner triumphed in the final two.

Montgomery’s Williams was the top local finisher in the pro class, ending fifth overall with Walton of Rhayader finishing seventh.

Welshpool’s Gary Davies dominated the veteran’s with three victories with Llanbrynmair’s Iwan Roberts twice ending runners-up and third in the second race.

Wigan’s Jane Daniels swept the board in the ladies/juniors/beginners class with Dolgellau junior Ieuan Brooks and Crossgates’ Martin Rowan and Tanisha Thomas of Cardigan leading the challenge.

The night concluded with the popular Dash for Cash race which was once again dominated by Simpson with Chelmsford based Ryan Houghton ending second.
