GUILSFIELD toasted a one wicket win at home to Harcourt in division six of the Henshalls Shropshire League.
A thrilling encounter began with Harcourt opener Andrew Middleton being caught by Gary Griffiths off Sam Birch (1-15) for a duck before the top order rallied.
However Andrew Sutton was caught by David Harris off Griffiths (1-39) before Duncan Todd (5-39) struck to remove Martin Owen (30) and Rick Jarrett for a top scoring 34.
Todd continued to sweep through the Harcourt order with support from Harris (2-15) ensuring only Sam Davies (15no) was left standing with the visitors all out for 139.
Guilsfield suffered a top order collapse in reply with Dave Williams (2-15) and Andrew Heighway (2-41) dominant.
Captain Dave Lewis (44) was joined by Sam Birch (36) in reviving the hosts with a superb middle order partnership before both fell to Jarrett (2-23).
Griffiths (12) fell to Andrew Sutton (3-23) but a dogged tail end display from Alex Parry (16no) and Allan Williams (1no) guided the Guils to 140-9 and glory.
