Knockin & Kinnerley CC will be looking forward to the wonderful teas on offer at the Pecknall Farm ground of Alberbury CC.

As we look forward to the fixture this weekend it could be said that most batsman will be searching for an able assistant for some throw downs and a heavy roller.

Alberbury CC are off the back of a punishing defeat to Frankton CC last week in which four ducks and a top score of 17 for Jordan Zaza makes for tough reading and quick scoring.

The same could be said for Knockin & Kinnerley who skittled Pontesbury for 95 but then collapsed to 78 all out, 28 of which came from the bat of James Birch. From what I have been told this was a thriller of a game.

These two teams are separated by just one team in a fierce league so no doubt this will be a tight fixture.

Let’s hope the Senior Slam T20 competition in midweek will free the batsman up and help with some confidence going into the weekend.

For all spectators, I suggest making your way to Pecknall Farm to scavenge what might be left of the wonderful spread on show and maybe enjoy some cricket as well.
