COBRA ended the season with runner-up at the Aberystwyth Seven’s tournament.
Despite missing out on the Game On North Wales title to Abergele the Meifod side ended the season in Aberystwyth with their first ever Seven’s silverware with runners-up spit secured.
The Meifod stormed through the group stage unbeaten before overcoming a Scottish touring side 36-0 in the quarter-final
COBRA survived a second-half fightback to edge past Aberystwyth Barbarians 12-10 in the semi-finals to set up a final meeting with Swansea Warriors.
Despite a consolation try from captain Grace Hill in the final the COBRA challenge ended with the Warriors prevailing by four tries to one.
Club spokesperson Ffion Williams said: “It was a fantastic result for the girls in their first ever Seven’s competition. It has been a successful year having only lost twice all season.”
