BUILTH Wells manager Dylan McPhee dedicated Saturday’s MMP-NL Mid Wales League Cup triumph to the club’s supporters.

The Bulls prevailed 2-1 winners after extra-time against Caersws in Rhayader on Saturday with a Josh Price double cancelling an Elliot Jones reply.

Victory was all the sweeter for McPhee who spent several seasons as part of the Caersws management team before taking on the top job at Builth Wells in the summer.

McPhee said: “It was a well deserved cup final win for us.

“I thought we were the better side on the night in a very good final where both teams gave their all.

“I’m so pleased for the players, staff, committee and supporters who have worked so hard this season and this was the icing on the cake.”

This season also marked a shift in the order of Brecknock and Radnorshire of football with the Bulls’ sixth placed finish in MMP-NL Mid Wales League One ensuring them the highest placed club from South Powys.

“It’s been a great season and fantastic to end with silverware,” said McPhee. “We must aim to build on this next season.”
