An inspired bowling performance from Alex Bromley guided Montgomery to a 48 run victory to Forton.
Montgomery batted first and made 145-8 with Thomas Corfield and Ieuan Griffiths top scoring with 22 runs apiece.
There was also a late cameo from tailenders Tom Hughes (19no) and Patrick Fletcher (16no) with the former thrilling spectators with a massive six in the closing moments of the innings.
Mark Gleeson (3-21) and Harry Kenyon (3-30) led Forton’s wicket haul.
In reply Forton were bowled out for 97 with Will Poulteney (20) top scoring as Bromley (6-26) starred with support from Aaron Ruff-Cock (3-29) and Ed Bennett (1-19) finished the job in the 34th over.
