MARK Jones’ unbeaten 88 was not enough for Alberbury as Cound held out for a draw at Pecknall Farm in division one of the Henshalls Shropshire League One.

Charles Bourne (27) opened well for the hosts with Mike Crawshaw (19), Matthew Bevan (13) and Sam Morris (14) supporting Jones (88no) in guiding Alberbury to 191-5 with Saleh Ahmed (2-24) and Callum Marsh (2-63) leading the wickets.

Ahmed led Cound’s reply before departing to Andy Holloway (4-23) for 47 and despite the efforts of Morris (2-35) and Myles Thomas (2-27) the hosts were steered to 140-9 and a draw by Graham Trow (21) and Adam Williams (20).
