FORDEN United clinched promotion with a 3-0 win at JT Hughes Montgomeryshire League Honda Division One champions Guilsfield Reserves on Tuesday night.

Goals from Ryan Jenkins, Ross Harris and Christian Webster ensured Forden second place in the league and inflicted a first defeat of the season on their hosts.

Roberts said: “That’s back to back promotions for the club. We have a great group of lads at Forden United and we are looking forward to some Mid Wales League football next season.”

Meanwhile Trewern United ended their campaign with a 6-2 victory at home to Llangedwyn with a Barry Haralambous double and goals from Byron Edwards, Chris Lewis, Warren Roberts and an own goal sealing the points.

Elsewhere Llanrhaeadr Reserves edged toward the Mitsubishi Division Two title with a 3-1 derby win at Llansantffraid Reserves.

Goals from Gus Harris, Ryan Broadbent and Lucas Gallagher cancelled Adam Knight’s reply.

Trefonen maintained their promotion bid with goals from Louis Morris, Mike Kemble and Jordan Dean sealing a 3-2 win at home to Llanfyllin Town Reserves who replied through Liam Jones and Matt Bride.

A Huw Roberts double inspired Kerry Reserves to a 4-0 win at home to Waterloo Rovers Reserves with Matt Mumford and Kieran Wheeldon sealing the points.

Ben Jenkins’ penalty earned Welshpool Town Reserves a 1-0 victory at home to Four Crosses Reserves.

Meanwhile Llanymynech climbed to sixth courtesy of goals from Callum Whyte and Gary Ray in a 2-1 win at home to Abermule Reserves who replied through Jack Carroll.
