COBRA proved a different class in a 120-0 thrashing of Llangefni to remain on course for the Game On North Wales Women’s League title.

The Meifod side ran riot for the second successive week with 20 tries shared between backs and forwards.

Libby Jones starred with five tries while Adelaide Edwards crossed for a hat-trick with braces from Cat Davies, Grace Hill, Teleri Evans and player of the match Gemma Robinson underlining the home side’s total dominance.

Ffion Williams also crossed for a try from a five metre scrum while adding 10 conversions as COBRA ran riot.

COBRA end their campaign in Welshpool with the title still within their grasp but need rivals Abergele to drop points in their two remaining games.

Meanwhile Welshpool suffered a heavy defeat with Llangollen completing a 63-10 win at Maesydre on Saturday.

Disa Manuel and Ellie Davies crossed the whitewash for Pool but were unable to prevent the North Wales completing a commanding win.

Welshpool face a busy end of season with the side still having three games to play, including their derby at home to COBRA.
