NEWTOWN made a major impact at the Time2Talk Social Community Football Festival in Pontypridd last month

Newtown’s We Wear the Same the Shirt squad ended runners-up with Brandon Evans-Dulson claiming the player of the tournament award.

The tournament was organised by former Newtown Football Club coach Sam Morris and his fellow University of South Wales students and geared toward helping people with mental health issues play organised competitive football.

Newtown won its group and semi-final before progressing to the final where they narrowly lost 1-0 to South Wales based Street Football Wales to end runners-up.
