GUILSFIELD end three week hiatus with the visit of Rhyl to Clos Mytton on Saturday (2.30).

Manager Nathan Leonard has ensured his squad prepared with two training sessions this week and expected Rhyl to arrive looking to prove a point after their shock defeat at Holyhead Hotspur a fortnight ago.

“They are the second best team in the league and have a lot of quality,” said Leonard. “We will have to put in a big performance but I know we are capable.

“ I expect a proper football game with both teams going for the win just like the game at their place.”

Llanrhaeadr hit the road for Conwy Borough with both sides looking for the points to all but cement their second tier status.

Manager Marc Griffiths said: “Conwy are in a similar situation to us and are probably looking for another win to secure their Alliance status.

“It is a tough place to go but we are more than capable of causing an upset.”

The villagers make the trip with a full squad and keen to return to action.

“It’s been a frustrating couple of weeks but the lads have been training hard and are raring to get back out on the field,” said Griffiths.

Penrhyncoch travel to Ruthin Town with six games remaining to save themselves from the drop.

Manager Gari Lewis confessed it was do or die for the Roosters.

“We need to be on the right side of the result to have any hope of survival,” said Lewis. “We always have competitive games against Ruthin which is a club I genuinely respect for their local policy.”

The Roosters make the trip without veteran defender Jon Foiligno.

“It’s a huge miss as Jon has been brilliant for us all season,” said Lewis.
