NEWTOWN Football Club has paid tribute to its off the field team following last weekend’s Welsh Trophy double header at Latham Park.
Cefn Albion beat STM Sports 3-1 after extra-time before Pontardawe Town overcame Bodedern Athletic 2-0 in the second semi-final.
The matches were played in monsoon conditions but despite the weather and clashing with the RBS Six Nations Rugby Championship still managed to attract large travelling support.
Throughout the day the club’s off the field team ensured the smooth running of the day.
Club spokesman Barry Gardiner said: “Thanks to all the people who contributed to the successful day and play such a key role in our club hosting major events.”
