NEWTOWN sealed second place in the North Wales Women’s League with a 6-0 win at Pwllheli.

Jacqui Loxam led the scoring with a double while Karen Lewis, Sian Griffiths, Clare Bonsall and Alex Powell completed a comfortable victory on the Llyn peninsula.

Llanfair Caereinion ended their season on a high with Delyth Astley completing a hat-trick in a 3-0 win at relegated Caernarfon.

Meanwhile Welshpool’s season ended with a battling 2-0 defeat at Dysnni.

Elsewhere Presteigne slipped to a 2-0 defeat at Whitchurch Saints IIs in division two of the South Wales Women’s Premier League.

Radnor kept alive their promotion bid in division one with goals from Rhian Farmer, Lowri Morris, Hayley Price, Orla Probert and Sioned Davies settling a 5-1 win at home to Milford Haven.

Newtown maintained their impressive run of form with a 4-1 win at Streetly IIs in the West Midland Men’s Premier League.

Oscar Crutchley opened the scoring with Andy Denham doubling the lead before the break.

The hosts reduced the arrears after the interval but Newtown were not to be denied with Jonny Atkinson on target before Denham completed his brace.
