CONNOR Owen represents Wales in a boys golf international against Ireland later this month.
The 15 year old Newtown golfer is a rising star in the world of British golf and a member of the Welsh national transition squad.
Owen enjoyed a stellar 2018 and reduced his handicap to scratch.
The teenager is currently ranked second in Wales and 12th in Europe in his age group.
Owen has become a regular in the Welsh boys squad having also represented his country at under 15 and under 18 level.
This year’s clash against the Irish represents the third year the Newtown teenager has received a call up for the prestigious fixture and will look to help his country to victory.
Owen is also a member of St Giles Golf Club in Newtown.
