Barry Town Utd 2
TNS’ title bid was dealt a blow as Barry Town United celebrated a late equaliser at Park Hall.
The Saints could not have asked for a better start with Kurtis Byrne lobbing goalkeeper Mike Lewis from the edge of the area to break the deadlock inside the opening minute.
Jamie Mullan doubled the Saints lead on 20 minutes with a close range finish from Danny Redmond’s left wing cross.
Barry were back in the game before the break with Kayne McLaggon converting a 36th minute penalty after Chris Marriott’ hand ball.
Blaine Hudson forced Lewis into action before the fate of the game swung in Barry’s favour when home midfielder Tom Holland was dismissed after earning a second caution for a rash 73rd minute challenge.
The 10 men hung on until the sixth minute of injury time when Jon Hood blasted home a 20 yard free-kick to save Barry a point.
