TALYBONT survived a fightback to claim the spoils in a 2-1 win at Penrhyncoch Reserves.
Goals from Mike Fitzpatrick and Clint Middleton gave Talybont the lead only for a Bruce Wright reply in the second-half to reduce the arrears for the Roosters but the visitors held out for glory.
Bont climbed to second in the table with a 4-2 win at home to Aberystwyth University Reserves,
Lee Morgan netted twice while Trevor Jenkins and Dewi Sion Evans completing the tally while Mike Cotter-Jones and Andy Wilson struck for the Students.
Meanwhile Penparcau maintained their 11 point lead at the top with goals from Mattie Davies and Mike Gornall sealing a 2-0 win over Llanilar.
Elsewhere Sion Manley and Jac Williams goals earned Bow Street Reserves the spoils in a 2-0 win at Machynlleth Reserves.
Dolgellau Reserves were indebted to a Darryn Jones double in a 5-2 win at Llanon in the second division trophy with Dominic Thomas, Nathan Thomas and Jasper Jones also on target.
