FORDEN United maintained their JT Hughes Montgomeryshire League Honda Division One title bid with a 2-0 win over Meifod in Newtown.

An own goal and a Jake O’Donnell strike was enough for Forden to overcome a battling Meifod side.

However Guilsfield Reserves continue to set a hot pace at the top of the table with a 3-2 win at Trewern United.

Goals from Paul Evans, Harry Clifton and the ageless Danny Barton settled the outcome with Byron Edwards netting a double in reply for the Tigers.

Meanwhile Llanymynech toasted a commanding 6-0 derby win at home to Four Crosses Reserves in Mitsubishi Division Two.

Callum Whyte led the home side to glory with a brace with Dean Becker, Sam Roberts, Jamie Phillips and Dan Astley also on target.

Llansantffraid Reserves were also among the goals in a 6-1 derby win at Llanfyllin Town Reserves.

Charlie Lux and Harry Kerr shared the plaudits with both netting doubles while Aled Jones and Mark Davies completed the scoring with Rhys Evans replying for the Magpies.

Meanwhile Churchstoke Reserves celebrated a 6-3 win at Welshpool Town Reserves with Rob Harvey and Ryan Dean both netting twice for the Marketmen.

Shane Morgan and Kevin Price completed the scoring while Welshpool remained in contention through Phil Turnbull, Josh Morgan and Alex Morgan.

Elsewhere honours ended even as Liam Astley’s strike ensured Llanfechain a point in a 1-1 draw at home to Kerry Reserves who struck through Bobby Richards.
