LLANRHAEADR manager Marc Griffiths has backed his side to kick start their campaign with the visit of Denbigh Town to Llansantffraid on Saturday.
The villagers handed high flying Flint Town United a fright before slipping to a 2-1 defeat last week to remain on the fringes of the relegation zone.
Denbigh are just two points above Llanrhaeadr in the table and the villagers would climb the table with victory.
Griffiths said: “Denbigh will be a strong physical side and desperate for the three points but I’m sure if we turn up we can cause another shock result.”
The villagers have bolstered their squad in the past month with Matt Jones and Sam Thomas arriving from English football.
