MID Wales athletes shone at the Welsh Junior Indoor Championships in Cardiff.
The two day event is an annual showcase of the future talent of Welsh track and field and once again Powys athletes were among the medals.
Welshpool High School student and Maldwyn Harriers Athletics Club star Arthur Powell defended his 2018 title with a storming run of 7.29 securing gold in the boys under 15s 60m.
Meanwhile fellow Harrier and Welshpool High School student Maddie Griffiths also claimed a podium place with a silver medal in the girls under 15s 3,000m with a time of 11:46.00 to maintain her sparkling form.
Aled Breeze was also in action in Cardiff with the Newtown High School student and Maldwyn Harrier starlet claiming a silver medal in the under 15s boys 1,500m event with a time of 4:47.96.
Brecon Athletics Club also celebrated as the up and coming Kyle Davies claimed a silver medal in the under 20s shot put with a distance of 11.51m to crown a superb weekend for Powys athletics.
