BERRIEW overcame 10 man Llandrindod Wells to secure a 3-1 win at Talbot Field in MMP-NL Mid Wales League One.

Tom Williams, Richard Davies and Marc Jones goals clinched the spoils for the hosts while Ryan Sims reduced the arrears for the Spamen who played much of the game with 10 men following the dismissal of goalkeeper Joey Prosser.

Honours ended even at the Lant with Builth Wells and Llansantffraid Village playing out a goalless draw.

Meanwhile Llanidloes Town extended their lead at the top of the table with a 4-2 win at Radnor Valley after Caersws dropped points at Welshpool Town on Friday night.

The Goats hit back and reduced the arrears with Callum Matthews prodding home Elliot Morris’ pass before a a 30 yard stunner from Joey Price saw the villagers back in the game.

Caersws are now firmly playing catch up after a Craig Harris double was cancelled out by a brace from Will Thomas in a 2-2 draw at Maesydre on Friday night.
