LLANFAIR United marched to the next round of the North East Wales Women’s Cup with a 6-0 win at home to Prestatyn Town on Sunday.

New signing Lowri Savage marked her arrival at Mount Field with a neat opener on 13 minutes as United wasted no time in making their mark.

United had to be patient against a well organised Prestatyn side and on 35 minutes doubled their lead with Sarah Ellis slotting past the advancing goalkeeper.

The hosts increased their lead on half-time with Savage releasing Mary Griffiths to square for Gemma Jones to rifle home.

Griffiths got in on the act early in the second-half after rounding the goalkeeper to slot into an empty net before Jones completed her brace with a wonderful 15 yard volley.

United rang the changes late on and their three substitutes combined to complete the scoring late on with Nia Ellis feeding Sophie Cook on the right to cross for Ffion Lewis to convert on the far post.
