TNS have completed the loan signing of defender Jack Bodenham from English Premier League side Cardiff City.

The 19 year old made his JD Welsh Premier debut as TNS swept to a 5-0 win at home to Llanelli Town on Saturday.

The Gwent born player has progressed through the Cardiff City development sides while representing the Bluebirds under 23s side.

Bodenham arrives at Park Hall having also picked up international caps at junior and youth level.

The arrival of Bodenham follows the return of Ben Cabango to parent club Swansea City following a successful loan.

TNS manager Scott Ruscoe said: “We are pleased to have completed the loan signing of Jack Bodenham from Cardiff City.

“He’s an excellent addition to the squad until the end of the season.

“A composed defender, he is comfortable in possession and will benefit from first team football at the age of 19.”

The Saints face a weekend kicking their heels with the final of the Nathaniel MG League Cup taking centre stage when Cardiff Metropolitan take on Cambrian Clydach in Barry on Saturday night.

TNS open their second phase campaign at Bala Town on Thursday, January 31 with Newtown opening their championship conference campaign at home to Connahs Quay Nomads on February 2.
