NEWTOWN Cricket Club’s preparations for the summer have been dealt a blow with the departure of allrounder Jack Morris.
Morris has opted to call time on his career at the Recreation Ground after eight years and more than 125 appearances, 1900 runs and a 20.35 batting average.
Morris has agreed terms with Henshalls Shropshire League One rivals Shelton having emerged as a talent through Newtown’s junior system before becoming an ever present in the first team.
Morris is currently in Australia playing for Aubern Cricket Club.
