Evans keeps Monty on top
MONTGOMERY Town maintained their MMP-NL Mid Wales League Two title bid with a 3-1 at home to Dyffryn Banw.
Tom Evans struck twice with Sam Williams completing the Canaries eighth consecutive win while Banw replied through Twm Foulkes.
Waterloo Rovers maintained their own title intent with a 3-2 win over Dolgellau with Luke Evans, Charlie Proctor and Andrew Gwilt cancelling a David Edwards double in reply.
Elsewhere Machynlleth edged a 3-2 win at Presteigne with Simon Davies netting twice and Paul Jones also on target as the Maglonians left Llanandras Park triumphant.
Meanwhile Montgomery’s stellar month has been recognised with a double award.
Luke Williams scooped the MMP-NL Mid Wales League Two manager of the month award with Tom Evans the player of the month.
The first division manager of the month for December is Berriew boss David Jones with Aberaeron’s Chris Wilkins landing the player of the month accolade.
Meanwhile George Clarke won November’s first division player of the month award for his role in helping Llanidloes Town to the top of MMP-NL Mid Wales League One.
