Builth Wells 27 Taibach 0
BUILTH Wells made light work of Taibach to open their festive programme with a convincing bonus point win at the Groe.
Aggressive running from props Neil Jarman and Ted Davies culminated in an early try from hooker Ben Pugh with Dan Davies converting.
The Bulls dominated the set piece and soon extended their lead with Rhys Davies darting over for an unconverted try with Davies soon atoning with a penalty.
It was a similar story after the break with the Bulls totally dominant.
Builth extended their lead with a kick from Seb Barrett launching a drive and a try from Ted Davies with namesake Dan converting.
Taibach rallied and enjoyed their best spell of the game only to be thwarted by a well drilled defence led by captain Rhys Davies.
Builth weathered the storm and with five minutes remaining settled the outcome and secured a bonus point try with wing Josh Price breaking forward to release centre Tom Samuel to cross.
Proud Bulls coach Ben Duggan said: “This was a very impressive display from the Bulls.
“Every player contributed to this hard fought win and the extra point was a great and deserved bonus.
