Four Crosses boosted their MMP-NL Mid Wales League Two promotion ambitions with a 3-1 win at Aberystwyth University.

Jamie Evans, Harry Davies and Ben Simms each netted for Crosses with James Watts’ strike a consolation for the Students.

Elsewhere a Charlie Proctor hat-trick inspired Waterloo Rovers to a comfortable 4-0 win at home to Presteigne with Andrew Gwilt completing the scoring for the Welshpool side.

Meanwhile it was a memorable day for the Davies family as father and son each scored in Machynlleth’s emphatic 5-1 win at home to Dyffryn Banw.

Sion Jones netted twice with Drew Page also on target but the day belonged to the Davies’ with father Simon and son Alex both on the scoresheet while Alun Jones reduced the arrears with a consolation for the Llangadfan visitors.
