TNS manager Scott Ruscoe has been named JD Welsh Premier League manager of the month for October.

Ruscoe's side registered five wins and one draw from six games in all competitions, enough to see off competition from Newtown's Chris Hughes and Barry's Gavin Chesterfield.

"As a team it's always nice to be recognised for your results," said Ruscoe.

"We had a very good October - 5 wins out of 6 - and that's the form we are now looking to get back to."

TNS midfielder Aeron Edwards joined Newtown's Luke Boundford on the October Player of the Month shortlist, but both missed out as Barry midfielder Robbie Patten took the honours for his performances during his side's good run in the month.

The Saints are back in action this evening when they take on Cambrian & Clydach Vale in the Nathaniel MG Cup semi-final (7.45).
