NEWTOWN have been dealt a blow with versatile midfielder Tom Goodwin ruled out for the remainder of the JD Welsh Premier season.
The 28 year old Llandrindod Wells based player ruptured his Achilles while representing Newtown in the JD Welsh Premier Development League against Flint Town United on Sunday.
Goodwin joined the club from Llanidloes Town in 2013 having also represented Presteigne, Rhayader Town and his hometown club in the Mid Wales League.
Newtown manager Chris Hughes said: “We are all gutted for Tom and wish him well in his recovery.”
