A SUPERB second half display was the catalyst behind Llanberis’ 3-0 home success over Prestatyn Sports.

Strikes from Dylan Williams and Connor Gordon enabled Gaerwen to reach the Take Stock Van Hire Cup second round with a shock 2-0 triumph over in-form Blaenau Ffestiniog Amateurs, whilse Lewis Connor and Tomos Jones both hit the target for Llannerchymedd as they progressed with a 2-1 victory over Glan Conwy.

Y Felinheli also booked their place in the hat as efforts from Gruff John and Iwan Edwards secured a 2-1 win over Holyhead Town, but there was no such luck for Aberffraw as they fell victim to a 3-0 reverse at Kinmel Bay.

Bodedern Athletic managed to make it through to the Mawddach Challenge Cup second round thanks to a 2-1 success at Pwllheli, and in the only Division Two clash involving sides from the region finishes from Josh Owen (2), Iwan Williams, and Ryan Woods (2) gave Pentraeth a thumping 5-0 victory at Amlwch Town.
