BUILTH Wells Sports Centre hosted the Powys Schools Judo Championship last month.
The annual event was hosted by Irfon Judo Club, home club of Great Britain and Wales judoka star Natalie Powell, and saw competitors from 28 primary and nine high schools in action.
Llandysilio won the Primary School Shield while Llanfyllin High School and Ysgol Calon Cymru jointly lifted the High School Shield.
The Spirit of Judo Award was won by Chloe Connell from Llandysilio School.
Richard Jones of Irfon Judo Club said: “The competition was a great success with 70 participants on the day who produced some outstanding judo.
“Many thanks to all the coaches, officials, referees and parents who helped make the event such a great success.”
