Conwy Borough 2 Penrhyncoch 2

PENRHYNCOCH had to share the spoils as Conwy Borough hit back in the dying embers to snatch a point at the Morfa.

Neither side could break the deadlock with the match dominated by strong winds throughout.

However five minutes into the second-half the visitors led through Steffan Davies who doubled his tally by heading his second on the hour and put his side in a commanding position.

Penrhyn should have put the game to bed soon after only for substitute Liam Doherty to fire wide while well positioned.

Borough gave themselves a foothold in the game with 15 minutes remaining with Connor McGonigtle slotting home from close range.

With seconds remaining McGoningle went down in the area after being clattered by Carwyn Jones before stepping up to complete his brace from the spot and save his side a point.
