BERRIEW have been handed a home tie against Rhydymwyn in the fourth round of the Welsh Trophy.

TNS manager Scott Riscie was joined by former Welsh international Carl Fletcher in conducting the draw at Newport’s Dragon Park on Monday.

The MMP-NL Mid Wales League One side welcome the Wrexham League One side to the Talbot Field on Saturday, November 24.

Four Crosses can also look ahead to a home tie with Wrexham League One side Rhos Aelwyd making the trip to the MMP-NL Mid Wales League Two side.

Elsewhere in the draw Llanfair United’s reward for victory at Caersws last week is a trip into the unknown with an away day at Welsh Alliance side Llanrug United.

Bow Street also hit the road with the MMP-NL Mid Wales League One side travelling to Swansea League side Maltsters Sports having set aside their poor league form in the Welsh Trophy this season.

The Mid Wales contingent will each by looking to bring the silverware back to the region for the first time since 1993 when Llansantffraid beat Brecon Corinthians.

Both Penrhyncoch and Llanrhaeadr have since ended as losing finalists, in 1996 and 2004 respectively, with Mid Wales’ wait for the trophy now 25 years and counting.
