Penrhyncoch 0 Bangor City 2

PENRHYNCOCH were punished by two second-half goals in the space of a minute at home to fallen Welsh football giants Bangor City.

Penrhyn welcomed back goalkeeper Lee Jenkins following a brief spell at Aberystwyth Town and was called into action to save Alex Darlington’s 10th minute header.

However Penrhyn had their chances with Craig Williams denied one on one by goalkeeper Chris Mullock while Steffan Davies also headed wide.

Jenkins was again called upon before the break with a superb save to deny Marc Williams with Darlington spurning the rebound.

City led on 53 minutes with Steve Hewitt’s cross flicked on by Les Davies for Williams to bundle home.

Hewitt doubled the Citizens lead a minute later with a low drive beyond Jenkins after good work by Davies.

Penrhyn toiled without reward for the remainder of the contest with Luke Sherbon and Liam Lewis heading wide while City went close to adding to their tally with Williams and Jake Phillips denied by Jenkins.
