LLANRHAEADR host derby rivals Llangedwyn in the second round of the MP Foulkes Montgomeryshire Cup on Sunday (2.30).
Manager Marc Griffith relished the visit of the J T Hughes Montgomeryshire League One side while warning his players against underestimating their local rivals.
"It's a big local derby," said Griffiths. "Obviously we will be big favourites but we won't take them lightly as I'm sure they will be looking forward to giving it a real good go.
"It will be a different test for us but one we are looking forward to."
Meanwhile Trewern have withdrawn from the competition to hand Carno a walkover.
