PENRHYNCOCH welcome fallen Welsh football giants Bangor City to Cae Baker on Saturday.

The Citizens have lurched from one crisis to another over the past two years and arrive in Mid Wales in the aftermath of Craig Harrison’s departure as manager.

However Penrhyn manager Gari Lewis insisted the former Welsh Premier side would start the game as massive favourites.

“It’s a huge challenge for us” said Lewis. “They are a massive club with great history.

“We need to focus on them and find tactical answers to compete. It’s no secret we are lacking confidence after our recent run of results but my only answer to that is to train harder and smarter and hope our luck changes.”

Striker Steffan Davies could be included after returning from a lengthy injury lay-off.

Meanwhile Guilsfield return to action with a trip to Holywell Town.

While the Guils saw off a spirited challenge from North East Wales minnows Rhostyllen their weekend hosts threw away a two goal lead at Caersws who stormed back to complete a 3-2 extra time win.

Manager Nathan Leonard is keen to maintain the winning mentality against the Wellmen. who are likely to include former Guils favourite Jon Jones.

“We’ve won the last three in all competitions so we go in confident mood but I’ve never been to Holywell and had an easy game,” said Leonard.

“They are always a tough physical team who will be looking to improve. with Jonny Haseldin coming back.

“They will be looking for a reaction after last week so it is important we start the game well and not give them any confidence.”
