TNS 6 Llandudno 1

TNS made light work of an outclassed Llandudno as Greg Draper and Ryan Brobbel hit hat-tricks at Park Hall on Wednesday night.

The Saints never looked back after Jamie Mullan picked out Ryan Brobbel whose 19 yard shot curled beyond goalkeeper Shaun Pearson on 12 minutes.

However TNS had to wait before sealing the points with three goals in 15 minutes at the end of the half.

Mullan released Simon Spender on the right to cross for Draper to volley home on half an hour and just five minutes later the same combination on the right allowed Brobbel to complete his brace from close range.

It was all over before half-time with Draper racing onto Aeron Edwards' throughball to slot past Pearson.

Five minutes into the second-half Edwards released Brobbel to toe poke home and complete his hat-trick.

Both sides made a flurry of substitutions which disrupted the pattern of the game with the Seasiders capitalising by reducing the arrears on 76 minutes when George Harry seized upon a misunderstanding between goalkeeper Paul Harrison and Chris Seargeant to square for John Owen to net.

Fittingly the Saints had the final say with Chris Marriott cutting inside from the left to cross for Draper to glance home and complete his hat-trick with three minutes remaining.

The result ensured TNS remained on the coat tails of leaders Connahs Quay Nomads ahead of their weekend clash while adding to the misery of Llandudno who look set for a battle to avoid relegation to the Huws Gray Alliance following a woeful start to the campaign.

TNS: Harrison, Spender, Marriott, Holland (Byrne 63), Routledge, Brobbel (Seargeant 61), Draper, Hudson (Lewis 55), Mullan, Nembhard, Edwards. Subs: Redmond, Ebbe, Hmami.
