Ruthin Town 1 Llanrhaeadr 2
TOM Bailey was the hero as Llanrhaeadr continued to make waves on the road with victory at Ruthin Town.
Home goalkeeper Ryan Goldston produced a double save to deny Iwan Matthews and Marc Griffiths with Chris Aitken also testing goalkeeper early on.
Llyr Morris twice tested Llanrhaeadr goalkeeper Jimmy Hayns before the villagers snatched the lead when Iain Edmunds’ left wing cross was deflected into the net.
Hayns denied Morris again before the end of the half but Ruthin were level from the spot on the hour with Morris converting after being brought down by Glenn Evans.
Llanrhaeadr soon restored their lead with Edmunds’ free-kick headed home by Bailey.
Osian Davies and Ryan Jones were both denied by the woodwork as the hosts pressed for an equaliser but Llanrhaeadr held out for a battling win on the road.
