RHAYADER’S Alex Walton won the professional class at the weekend Simon Rees Memorial Hare and Hounds held at Cwmythig Hill.

Andrew Bull won the expert class with Jac George topping the clubman’s class while William Lloyd won the over 40s class.

The over 50s class was won by Jason Rees with the bumper sportsman class led home by Kyle Biggs.

Rhayader rider Billy Mason ended third in the sportsman class to be awarded the Simon Rees Memorial Cup as highest placed local sportsman rider.

Meanwhile Gemma Holtham won the ladies class.

David Williams and Luke Peters won the sidecar championship class with Andrew Scrivens and Martin Lawford winning the expert class while Daniel Lewis and Aled Rees completed the awards by winning the sidecar clubman class.

The Simon Rees Memorial Cup was presented to recipient Billy Mason by friends and members of the family along with several members of the Rhayader Motor Club committee.
