PENRHYNCOCH bid to derail the Airbus UK Broughton juggernaut as the Roosters return to action on Saturday.

Manager Gari Lewis was under no illusions as to the size of the task facing his side against the Huws Gray Alliance leaders.

“We are going there with a huge task on our hands,” said Lewis. “They are a class outfit with three class forwards and in Asa Hamilton the best striker in the league.”

However Lewis insisted his side were capable of producing a shock.

“We have a game plan and a process to follow to try and cause a surprise,” said Lewis who hopes to add striker Steff Davies to his squad following a lay-off.

Llanrhaeadr also hit the road with Marc Griffiths leading his men to inform Ruthin Town.

The villagers bid to bounce back following last week’s thrashing at the hands of Gresford Athletic which Griffiths insisted highlighted the unforgiving nature of the league.

“Ruthin are one of the best footballing sides in league so we will have to be at our best,” said Griffiths. “It depends on us as if we perform as we can then we have a chance but anything less and we will get punished.”

Guilsfield make the journey to Denbigh Town for a clash manager Nathan Leonard has billed “must win.”

“It’s a must win game for us we need to really push on now and get a good run going,” said Leonard.

Leonard conceded the performance against Holyhead Hotspur had been poor but was satisfied with three points as his side battled for a much needed win.

“We were not great against Holyhead but we dug in,” said Leonard.

Leonard has been busy attempting to strengthen his squad following the loss of key players during the summer and hoped to unveil several new faces soon.

“We need to freshen things up and push people for places but it’s been a frustrating couple of weeks,” said Leonard.

“It’s tough to sign players at this stage of season and we have to make sure they are right for the group.”
