CATRIN Davies and Grace Johns helped RGC to a 33-17 victory over Gwent Dragons at Colwyn Bay on Sunday.
COBRA flanker Davies and Welshpool wing Johns both played key roles as RGC claimed a famous WRU Women’s Regional Championship victory.
Three tries from Jess Kavanagh and a Beth Davies gave RGC the advantage before Hannah Hughes crossed the whitewash with Davies kicking four conversions.
The Dragons replied with a try from Cerys Hale before Beth Lewis and Jade Knight went over for late tries but it was too late to dampen the RGC celebrations.
Captain Rachel Taylor said: “It’s a special occasion for the girls to have a home game and I am happy they stepped up and delivered in front of their friends and family.
