BUILTH Wells celebrated their first win of the season with a 32-5 victory over Pontyclun in the Blues Youth League.
The Bulls never looked back after Steffan Towns’ two early penalties before wing Evan Lee broke past three players to open the try scoring with Towns adding the extras.
Pontyclun reduced the arrears with a try just before the break but the Bulls were soon back in the ascendancy with a solid defence providing the platform for centre Spencer Havard-Pratt to gain territory with several stirring runs while captain Toby Lloyd led by example.
Builth’s pressure finally told with full-back Ryan Jones chipping a ball over for scrum-half Connor Grannell to free Towns to cross for an unconverted try.
The Bulls increased their lead with a superb passing move releasing Lee for his second try before Towns crossed to complete his brace and clinch his side a bonus point at the death and completed his man of the match display with the conversion.
