Alberbury 152 all out lost to Wroxeter 129-6 by three wickets (revised target)
ALBERBURY suffered a three wicket defeat at Wroxeter in a rain affected first division clash.
The visitors struggled to 152 to defend with Mark Jones (22) falling to Charlie Haylett (2-36) after Dan Harris swept through the order with Charles Bourne (17) among his victims.
Chris Owen (2-37) maintained the pressure as wickets tumbled before Myles Thomas (27no) was joined by Andy Holloway in offering tail end resistance before the latter fell to Harris (5-26) for 15 to leave Alberbury defending just 152.
With rain interrupting play the home side chased a reduced target of 127 in reply.
Thomas (3-45) celebrated the wicket of Matthew Evans, stumped by James Wynne for 26, before the home side steadied the ship with a middle order stand between Harris and Richard Evason.
Harris fell to Sam Morris (2-27) for a top scoring 39 but Evason (20no) and Ross Whitehouse (4no) formed an unbroken seventh wicket partnership to guide their side to their revised target with four overs spare.
