Montgomery 187-2 beat Lilleshall 63-5 by 124 runs
Montgomery overcame Lilleshall despite rain threatening to call a halt to proceedings to all but seal promotion as second division runners-up.
Batting first in a game reduced to 35 overs Montgomery scored 187-2 as Tim Davies ended unbeaten on 62.
Davies enjoyed support from Tom Corfield (44) while Andrew Barker (26) also chipped in before Davies was joined by Ieuan Griffiths (29no) in an unbroken third wicket stand to steer their side to a commanding total to defend.
Lilleshall struggled to just 63-3 in reply with Eddie Bennett (2-3) and Patrick Fletcher (1-10) sharing the wickets with Oli Todd (23no) and Elliot Bufton (18no) forming an unbroken fourth wicket partnership but it was not enough to deny Monty the spoils.
Montgomery now bid to end their campaign on a high at Wellington IIIs on Saturday.
