Llanidloes 128 all out lost to Trysull 133-7 by two wickets

LLANIDLOES played their part in a thrilling clash before succumbing to a two wicket defeat at home to Trysull.

Veteran Adrian Foulkes (41) and youngster Lewis Swallow (35) laid foundations in a promising start from the hosts.

Meanwhile supporting knocks from William Denham (13) and Dave Moody (13) helped Llanidloes post 128 to defend.

Andrew Kirby was the pick of the Trysull attack with a superb 5-28 with support from Stuart Hickman (2-15) restricting the Daffodils.

Ioan Swallow (1-23) bowled opened Mark Gilbert (6) to give Llanidloes a dream start in reply.

Geraint Evans caught Joe Cox off Foulkes (1-18) for 19 before William Denham (3-24) sparked a wobble in the Trysull order with Neil Bennett caught by Eogan Jones for 33.

Clive Jones (2-17) kept up the pressure on the tail end as Llanidloes continued to make inroads through the Trysull order.

However the home attack had no answer to impressive middle order man John Manison (34no) who guided Trysull to 133-7 and victory in the 32nd over of their reply with tail end support from Hickman (9) and Dan Gainham (10) ensuring Llanidloes defeated.
